Bargello Quilts 2-Part Giveaway

We are so excited about Eileen Wright’s new book, More Twist-and-Turn Bargello Quilts! A follow up to Twist-and-Turn Bargello Quilts, it debuted July 9th from Martingale/That Patchwork Place, and offers up 10 fabulous strip-pieced projects.

Wright has an awe-inspiring sense of color. The first thing we noticed about these projects was her amazing use of palette and tonal movement. Some quilts are cool and calm while others are bright and richly saturated (view photos of all the projects by clicking “See more images” here). We can’t wait to dive into her “Bargello for Baby” quilt with our Treat Strips in Sugar or maybe some Java Blenders for a monochromatic version! Tips and tricks for fabric selection are included in the book, so you can achieve the same “wow factor” in your own one-of-a-kind creations at home.

We’ve teamed up with Martingale for a two-part giveaway today to celebrate the book’s release! We’re offering a copy of More Twist-and-Turn Bargello Quilts to one lucky winner, and Martingale is giving away a Treat-6Pack in color Sea Glass here. The wide strips are just perfect for Eileen’s bargello technique!

I’ve had a Bargello quilt on my “To Do” wish list since I started learning to quilt. They remind me of the bargello needlepoint pillows I made in the 70′s.

    Gorgeous colorways!!!

Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway!

I would love to win! I bought a pattern and some fabric several years ago for a Bargello quilt and haven’t had the courage to start it–this book is probably my answer.

I have never done a bargello quilt but on my “to do b4 I die” list. Winning this would be the catalyst I need to start one of these beauties. Thank you for a chance to win and maybe cross one off the list.

I fell in love with bargello quilts after seeing 2 in a Quilt Festival in Vermont a few years ago. I took a picture and when I showed it to my daughter, She said that was what she wanted me to make, in Pink. I put my 20 shades of pink in a box ready to go but have since used some for a baby quilt so will have to check my stash to get back to 20, I might have a better perspective now on blending colours looking at mauves and reds..
