Our Hareytale, A True Story

In 1986, a fishing accident propelled an American family into navigating a wayward journey from tragic loss to hopeful healing. It was their wise grandmother who lovingly gathered her granddaughters to her sewing room, teaching them how to make delightful treasures out of spools of thread and scraps of fabric while she mended their broken hearts.

While they sewed together, Gram tickled their imaginations with wild tales of rabbits who survived many hardships and that now lived, she suspected, in her garden. One day she told these sisters, “You need some fresh air. Run out outside and see if you can find the bunnies.” Thus a Hareytale began.

The first fifteen years of Bunnies By The Bay was a healing journey for founders Suzanne and Krystal. Sewing sweet little bunnies mended their hearts one stitch at a time. What started out as doing good for others as they healed became a mission to bring Glad Dreams to all.

Their business evolved to create gifts for babies within the whimsical world of Bunnies By The Bay. They now give glad dreams to wee ones all over the world through endearing gifts and sweet storybooks.

Welcome to Cricket Island where threads of this true story are woven into a patchwork of soft fabrics. Sweet designs and delightful wit bring comfort and GLAD DREAMS for wee ones embarking on their first year of life.

Glad dreams!
Krystal, Suzanne and Jeanne
