Pot holders are my favorite. I use scraps to make them and then I give them away to lots of people. For such a small thing, people get pretty excited about them.

I like to make gift bags, for wine bottles, or the flat box fold for other items, just adds a nice touch to the gift, and they can either keep it or pass it along.

My favorite quickie sewing gift is to personalize kitchen towels. Sometimes I add an applique or embroider flowers, but usually sew on a colorful border or ruffle. Everyone uses kitchen towels!

I love making small things like coasters, potholders, and rug mugs. It gives me the chance to use left over fabrics, odd blocks, and practice quilting. I always have spares, so I don’t fuss when my husband ruins them – which happens frequently.

I haven’t made any quick sew projects. I’m sure these pretty squares would sew together quick.
